STREAM — Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, Math

Many times when we hear of our school participating in STREAM activities, we think Engineering; what have the built lately?  Well, the fourth graders have been working on incorporating other portions of the acronym within their classroom activities; Technology, Religion, and Arts to be exact.  Currently, students are creating Powerpoint presentations using Google Slides. When complete, they will then turn their creations into QR Codes, which can be scanned using a free QR code reader app from any device.

Chronicles 16:23 says “Sing to Lord, all the earth; proclaim His salvation day after day.” In Matthew 4:19 Jesus calls us to be “Fishers of Men.” One of the easiest ways to reach out to people and share a message, is through music. Although my fourth graders aren’t generating their own music (at this point!), they have pushed outside their comfort zones, and explored music from various Christian artists. Their goal-to inspire others to meet Jesus, and encourage them to have a relationship with God!

Although these projects aren’t complete yet, please keep your eyes (and ears!) open in the near future-and if possible, download a QR reader app so you can experience the power of worship. The finished QR codes will be hung around the school, and possibly placed here on the blog.
